Hello, my name is Rick Murray, co-owner of South Mountain Entertainment. I am the company’s headline DJ and President. Music has been my passion since I was young—I used to get in trouble for playing records on my mother’s oversized record player!

What began as a part-time venture, helping friends with parties and events, has grown into a full-time business as of 2019. Working alongside my wife, we strive to create unique and memorable experiences for each couple we serve. I love seeing couples dance to mixes that blend everything from oldies to today’s Top 40 hits. No two experiences are the same, but we take pride in ensuring each one is unforgettable. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our services bring our clients’ visions to life.

At home, I enjoy spending time with our two dogs, Remington and Kimber (although they’re mostly “momma’s dogs”). Whether it’s fun at the park, hiking and backpacking, or simply relaxing, I cherish the quiet moments when I’m not focused on the business.
